Overcoming Depression: from Darkness to Hope | Chris Miles | Not Psychologists Talks with Jason and Yurii

Join Jason Baum, the therapist by legacy, and Yurii Lazaruk, the therapist by Ilker, in having deep conversations about things you think but don't talk about a lot!

"My core value growing up was I'm not enough. So, for 25 years, that was my core belief. Everything I do must improve my self-worth.

With that core value in mind, I have a very logical brain. If a problem exists, here are six different solutions to fix it.

So, I don't like the way I look. Get a haircut, feel good. I don't like the fact that I don't have a career, here's what I need to do, here's what I enjoy. I hate the fact that I'm gay because society doesn't accept me. Fix that. Just don't give a fuck. Everyone else has their opinion, and that's their opinion.

Easy. But in reality, it isn't easy at all. You just kinda have to work through your own emotions and stuff."
